Rocket & Russet is a small farm in Fangfoss, growing seasonal fruit and vegetables all year round.

The farm is run by Benjamin Daniells, former grower for the Michelin starred Black swan at Oldstead and acclaimed sister restaurant, Roots at York.
Rocket & Russet is passionate about growing tastiest seasonal produce, we are huge advocates for the environment and all the intricacies that includes. Scattered amongst our vegetables you’ll find plenty of flowers and herbs as we believe this approach promotes a strong ecosystem and makes our fruit & veg extra nutritious and delicious.

Hodgson Fish

W Hodgson was established in 1916 as a family-business in the fishing port of Hartlepool, Fishing revolved around Whiting, Haddock, Cod and Plaice which dominated the slabs.

Hodgson Fish is now the largest independent fish merchant in the North of England, supplying the freshest seafood to leading hotels and restaurants throughout the north of England.

We are a family farm and butcher that farms in Nidderdale, with an informal co-op of farmers supplying us from across the Yorkshire Dales, Moors and Vales.

Our family has farmed in Yorkshire since the 1850’s. All of our farming is based on a Low and Slow process; Grass fed or free range, and using traditional and contemporary hanging and curing techniques, that help set us apart from your ordinary butcher!
